Day 4 done and dusted

So day 4 done and dusted . Slow morning as described before . Tea and scones with other inmates then nurse review. Went for a walk in Auckland Domain and found possible “comb” to assist with my new hairdo once chemo starts fiddling with its composition

Then We had a walk down a wee tree lined path before striding back up the hill to next radiotherapy session. 

Obviously a bit hesitant as they had to call me twice to go to the “machine”. Brief 10 minutes 
But sufficient to have a “ nanna” nap on table . Intrigue of machinery already wearing off.
Off to chemo room and had to stuff my hand in hot water to dilate veins to make easy targets for nurses and their sharp sticky things they keep wanting to put in my hand 

Short sharp hour and a half and we were out of there. Tummy a bit grumpy today. 

Domain walks always a bit of experience and my wonderful wife has fallen for the flock of geese
and gosling we bump into
Day 5 tomorrow to complete and then  the a break for the weekend before another 
Long Monday in chair from 07h30 until 17h00 or so. 
Look forward to weekend rest and recuperation

D 33 - the weekend awaits and the fatigue has more negative effects So second last day of chemo done and dusted and final day of chemo on Monday. As the days have progressed the energy levels have definitely dropped . The walks have become shorter or leave me more tired and fatigued. Some of the enthusiasm for the Chipinge Trust book has been difficult to maintain. Lots of festive season activities and a stream of very welcome visitors have provided a greatly welcome distraction from the daily grind. Great to have an early morning visit from Chan, (Renene’s cousin) and her  husband Charlie. Brightened up my morning which was feeling quite miserable until they popped in with their always bright smiling demeanours and happy vibes . Truely blessed with our Whanau  The humour we have been able to find in our various hats we have found or been kindly provided by our great friend Minette Kuhn, has helped keep the chin up and a positive approach to the journey. D - 24 - Xmas day

D - -24 - Xmas day MERRY XMAS everybody. Hope you had a fabulous day with family and friends Marjel was sorely missed  today by us all. Brendan due tomorrow - whoopee - family back as one for a short period. Short and sweet Missive  today. Woke early Breakfast of salmon, Philadelphia cheese and bagels .  Few gifts to spoil us all and then a lazy lunch by the swimming pool at Brother Pey. Quiet night back at Domain lodge building a trimaran out of LEGO We missed our Xmas lunch at Wobble Inn but seems Prop and Rina , Renene ‘s parents did Wobble In Xmas lunch justice with our amazing neighbours . Thank you to the Frear family for spoiling us with an amazing crayfish to adorn the table back home . I was promised they have kept me some Neighbours ensuring a festive Xmas for Prop and Rina at Wobble Inn Crayfish centre stage for Wobble Inn Xmas lunch.
