One line , one appointment and the word “Finished”.

Surely an exciting and relief filled experience ! NO!
I became overwhelmed again feeling vulnerable and anxious . “ All at sea again”. Amazing the human psyche . So good to have two supportive hands to hold onto this morning.
Sitting waiting for my turn today outside the radiation room is the first time, the noises that one hears whilst someone else is under treatment , have felt threatening. Just like The claxon one hears in a submarine in distress in the movies.! Renene reassured me and framed it differently.
“ think of it as something “sculpting” a piece of that cancer into something different , less dangerous.
Certainly navigating “rough” rather than calm , ordered seas at the moment.
I am so looking forward to the opportunity to see if I can get my trimaran “Tryin Flyin” back into the Beautiful Bay of Islands waters for a more relaxed and smooth journey.
Today we painted a “Hat” approach choosing to draw and compose rather than focus on the hat itself
Despite the “doom and gloom” of my start of this conversation we still find joy in doing “something different” to brighten both my and my family’s day but also those in Machine 6 who have cared for me with such special hearts over this challenging journey. Courtney kindly used some artistic licence to create the theme for today.
After the early radiation we came back for breakfast and then took a walk down to town where the two girls had a deep tissue massage and I was treated to reflexology of my feet to assist with some “ detox”.
I left the two girls to have some “fun” including a period of time in quite a smart “Bridal shop”.
I attended the lab for my weekly bloods and then returned home and put my feet up.
Renene’s Cousin Chan visited together with Karen and we sat out in the sun on the verander . A number of our “hats” became quite useful as you may see
Tonight Renene , Courtney and Courtney’s Maud of Honour , Emily have gone out to the movies to see “Little women”.
Weekend off ahead and will be sad to let go of my daughter , back to Oamaru and Lewis. I am so grateful for both Brendan and Courtney’s sacrifices ,in leaving their partners to fend for themselves, in order to be with me and support me in these last days of treatment .
It will be back to “just us two jelliatrics “ again paddling the last few strokes towards the approaching shore .
lol....that Hat had this old Angel fooled, and confused , for a while.
