Sunday is geo cache finding day with family

Day 7 and another day away from the poisons so can’t complain. Woke early for a walk down whilst cooler into Newmarket for a bit of retail and grocery shopping. Trying to find some mechanism to see if can get some voice asisstance to be heard better. Hope we may have found a small gain with lapel mike. I phone earbuds and mike work fine for the phone .

Spoiled to have the whole Whanau “just about” visit this afternoon . Spoiled with some “bliss balls” and great Christmas cake for tea. Great as I am still seemingly able to enjoy the cakes. Then took a walk down into the Domain to explore further with the Whanau. They enjoyed the winter gardens and the wild life around finding time to feed the geese and pidgeons .

Renene and her cousin daughter Chantelle just arrived from South Africa

Serious conversation with Shaun Callaghan visiting from South Africa. Keen environmentalist
looking to plant a few trees in NZ before his return. Also really pleased to see how little litter around compared to what he has to deal with back home in his city Durban

Next minute we were off on a search for a geo cache that had popped up on their apps on phone . Modern day hide and seek with small capsules left strategically in various places for people to track down and add their names
Karen scribbling her name onto this long roll of paper found wrapped in old film canister inside second small tubular chamber hidden in fork of tree

How many people does it take to update and replace a geo cache?

So we start a new week of experience again tomorrow.
A long Monday of 2 drugs and lots of fluid. Then we get a break from the chemo till just before New Year but still a daily dose of radiation but onl a 10 minute appointment so hopefully rest of day to do some exploring

Onward we step into a future we hope is bright and healthy and we can leave the “beast “ behind .
