D - 23 - Xmas eve
On the night before Xmas it is time to remember all those we love or have loved and to be thankful for all the experiences we have shared with those people far and wide. It is a time to remember the “ reason for the season” and celebrate the birth of Christ. I pray that your individual God looks over you all and keeps you safe and healthy. We have a break from the radiation tomorrow but back into it on Boxing Day.
Courtney and Lewis escorted me down to the radiation today and we made the staff happy and laugh with the continual change in my headgear when I arrive . We are going to have to look for some more ideas as the days progress.
Friends Klaus and Minette visited today and brought me a new bad hair day hat to add to the collection.
We also had a visit from ex Zimbabwean Holly Wiles and her two young children who kept us entertained this morning with their antics. So spoiled to be brought a special hand drawn Xmas card.
Jonah also joined in the “bad hair day” experience

Renene Lewis Courtney and I took a walk though Lovers lane , at the heart of Auckland Domain . So lovely to share time with my lovely daughter
So we now look forward to 2020 with excitement tinged with a degree of uncertainty . We took some navigation advice from the exhibition of ancient navigator Tupaia who helped Cook successfully sail Endeavour around the pacific . You can still arrive at a destination unknown if you believe in and follow the stars a, the sun, the birds and the flow of the tides. You don’t always known the duration of the journey nor what you may experience through the journey nor at its destination but if you don’t dare to dream and take the journey you will never know what you may have missed. So good to have visited the exhibition at Auckland War Museum.
