D 21 - family, friends and a unicorn
Rest day Sunday but still full of fun and fellowship. We shared a traditional morning breakfast of bacon and eggs with Courtney and Lewis so still eating okay despite increasing swallowing discomfort .
Then we went out into the Domain and joined Renene’s extended Whanau/family for a picnic on the grass. So nice to be able to lie in the sun and talk and reminisce with family.

Whilst lounging around we were visited by a friendly neighbourhood “ unicorn” which provided a few laughs and lighter moments.

The second cousins plus Paul and Karen Geldenhuys the went off on a Geo-cache exploration and came back all excited after finding a number of local sites around the Museum and Domain.
Good bonding for the younger ones who really hardly know each other .

To finish off such a great day of fellowship we had a visit from Garth and Dionne Richter , friends from our Chipinge, Zimbabwe days. Great to catch up and reminisce about shared Mozambique holidays and some of the challenges those holidays threw at us.
So another week complete. Back to radiation tomorrow. Early morning blood test too. We went out Saturday late morning and completely forgot that the home visit phlebotomy service was scheduled to do my weekly blood test. We received a call around 14h00 to say “ where are you”. Must admit I would have been a bit “peeved” if I had sat around all Saturday till 14h00 waiting for them to only arrive then. Hopefully delay in “vampire” won’t reveal any abherent result.!!
